The Trustees have been hard at work reconciling the results from our 2017 Gala Auction and Dinner held on 1 March at Frederick’s. We are delighted to announce that we raised over £19,000 on the evening through the auction lots. We were also fortunate to receive a number of generous donations from our local supporters who were unable to attend the event. The proceeds from this year’s auction will contribute significantly to the annual running costs of the Rose Bowl Youth Centre so our heartfelt thanks go to: all of our local supporters – both attendees and local businesses who provided such wonderful prizes; Frederick’s Restaurant for providing a perfect venue, smooth operations and delicious food for our annual event; Nick Martineau, our auctioneer from Christies who has supported us for a number of years and Jonathan Gibbs and Chloe Olden from Isledon CIC.
We were grateful to receive some wonderful feedback on the evening too – a sample of which is below:
“Many congratulations on a hugely successful event last night. I think Fredericks did an outstanding job all round (and, as one of the cadre of locals who have to be at a desk early in the morning, I very much appreciated the commitment to get the auction through in good time!)”
“Thanks for a wonderful evening on Weds and well done to you all for raising such a huge amount of money”
The food was delicious and everyone at my table was having a wonderful evening., so hooray for Fredericks”
“Can I firstly start by saying a huge congratulations on the event last night, everything ran so smoothly and was so well thought out. So, a massive well done to you and the trustees! “
We all look forward to seeing you again next year.
