We are grateful to Liz and Jack Lambert who opened their wonderful garden as part of The National Gardens Scheme and chose to give a percentage of the proceeds to The Friends of the Rose Bowl.
Neighbours helped on the day by selling tickets and pouring tea, and also offered last minute help by trimming plants for sale, edging paths, baking cakes, and setting up gazebos.
Their enthusiasm grows from a profound appreciation of all that The Rose Bowl does for young people.
As local resident and long time supporter, George Mackintosh said:
Work for the Friends of the Rose Bowl perfectly illustrates all that’s good in London and Islington by not only supporting those in need of encouragement, but jolting those who can help into action. Both parties are much the better for it.
